“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Rev 14:12)
The path to eternal glory is full of many temptations. Please understand that it won’t be an easy ride. The road we must travel on is full of bumps,  hurdles and hitches. But we are never to give up. 
God is able to keep us not only to stand but also to run our race to the the finish line. Even if you fall along the way, pick yourself up, look ahead and keep running. Don’t look back nor accept falling to temptation as insurmountable. 
Remember, it is only those that overcome that will reign with Christ throughout eternity. Your patient endurance in your strive against sin & ungodliness might not be something you are finding convenient at the moment but soon it will pay you off. 
Never accept defeat, you have been declared more than a conqueror. Enforce your victory. Don’t allow the death of Christ on your behalf to be in vain. You have been made holy in order to live holy. Holiness is both a gift and a walk. We receive the gift in order to manifest the walk. Both must be present in our lives.  
We are first & foremost saints because we are sanctified by the word of God, which is the truth. John  17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.We must equally understand that we are also saints because we keep the commandments of God and observe the sayings of Jesus. 
God’s commandments are not grievous but they don’t get along with our fleshly lust; that’s whey they seem grievous and difficult for us to keep. But if it was impossible to keep the commandments of God, we would not have been required to do so. Through the grace of God we can live up to the bidding of God’s commands.
